Rebuilding Together East Bay North (rtebn.org) and Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley (habitatebsv.org) invite volunteers to pick up hammers and paintbrushes to repair and revitalize homes for seniors, veterans, and low-income neighbors. Each project strengthens community ties—one freshly painted wall, fixed porch, or safe entry ramp at a time. Many of these homes have sheltered generations, and preserving them keeps the heart of the East Bay alive. Organizations like Dorothy Day House Berkeley (dorothydayhouse.org), Insight Housing (insighthousing.org) and the Women’s Daytime Drop-In Center (womensdropin.org) provide daily support to those facing homelessness.
